OneTapReminder — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

OneTapReminder ("the app") is a voice-first reminder app. It is designed to run on your device. We do not operate servers that collect your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use any analytics or tracking SDKs. This policy explains what the app stores, where it stays, and the only cases where data leaves your device.

In short: Your recordings, transcripts, and reminders are stored only on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you turn on an optional feature (OpenAI transcription or Google Calendar), and even then it goes directly to that service you chose — never to us.

Who we are

OneTapReminder is published by an independent developer. For any privacy question, contact onetapreminder@gmail.com.

What the app stores on your device

All of the above is held in the app's local storage on your device. We have no access to it.

On-device transcription (default)

By default, speech is transcribed entirely on your device using a downloadable Whisper model. The audio never leaves the phone for transcription. Downloading the model the first time requires an internet connection to fetch the model file from a public model host (Hugging Face); no personal data is sent in that request.

Optional features that send data off the device

These are off unless you turn them on:

Permissions and why they are used

Backups

You can export a backup file (settings, history, and audio) using your device's share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely your choice; the app does not upload it anywhere.

Data sharing and selling

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. The only data transfers are the optional ones you initiate (OpenAI, your calendar provider), which go directly to those services.

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual recordings and reminders in the app, or remove everything by uninstalling the app. Calendar events you already created remain in your calendar account until you delete them there.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy
